Thanksgiving and a job posting

It's a couple days before Thanksgiving and I've got a lot to be thankful for.  A great wife, our families and a steady job that I really enjoy.  I also get compensated for riding my bike to work.  It's incredible.  Seriously.

Speaking of riding to work, this morning on the ride in I was hauling my BOB trailer packed with stuff I was wanting to sell to co-workers.  Bike parts go quickly here...  I was about 2/3rds of the way in and noticed my rear tire felt squishy.

Stupid flat.

At least I had the stuff to fix the problem.  It wasn't a puncture or pinch, but a defective tube that started to pull apart at a seam.

As I was sitting by the side of the road pumping up my newly installed replacement tube a car slows down and stops in front of me.  It's an older couple that rolls down their window and the lady in the passenger seat says something which I can't quite make out since I've still got mp3 player kicking out the jams via earbuds.

I guess to her comment and politely reply saying, No thanks, I've got everything I need.

More vigorously, she replies, No! Which way to the mall?

Well, at least they weren't berating me for riding my bike...

In unrelated news, QBP has posted a job opening for a product design engineer.  This position would split its time working for the QBP brands.  One of those is Civia.  If you're interested, check it out at qbp.com under Job Postings at the Minneapolis location.

Have a great Thanksgiving!
