The color change
This morning was the second time in a month I'd ridden my bike to work. A lot has changed over the last 30 days. The time's changed, so it's darker in the morning, but light for the ride home. It's surprising how different things feel when the sun is out. The bigger change has been the weather. It was 36 for the ride in and it's forecast to be pushing 60 for the ride home.
It's been a long winter. I'm ready for color. The yellow and green emergence of new leaves is one of my favorite things, which is quickly followed by May's eruption of flowers. The pink flowers on the crabapple trees along Minnehaha Parkway defines late spring in Minneapolis for me.
In Civia news, we're in the final stages of prepping frames and components to being assembly of complete bikes. Our first shipment has been spoken for, meaning our established dealer base will be getting the first complete bikes. Our second shipment will arrive in mid-May, which will allow us to have a late May/early June general availability of complete bikes and accessories.
Last year on April 15, we started the brainstorming process to determine what our first complete bike would be. Now, one year later, we're delivering product. It's been quite the last 12 months...
